Apple announced iPhone Duo on 9 September 2026 as its first foldable iPhone. Pre-orders begin on 16 October, and availability begins on 23 October. Apple lists a 7.6-inch inner display, a 5.4-inch outer display and the A20 Pro chip. These are official specifications, not the results of independent long-term testing by this website.
The practical distinction is how the two screens are used. The larger inner canvas can make side-by-side tasks, documents and photo review more comfortable; the smaller cover screen provides a compact alternative for quick interactions. Neither design alone guarantees better endurance, ergonomics or compatibility with every application. Those questions need independent hands-on evaluation.
